NDA Announces Partnership with the Boston Hockey Academy

The new partnership provides enhanced opportunities for male, student athletes seeking excellence in both academics and Tier I AAA hockey.

“We are excited to welcome the Boston Hockey Academy and their players to our school community next year,” said Dr. Vittoria Pacifico, NDA President.  “The Hockey Academy’s keen focus to ensure that scholar athletes are educated to ensure a future beyond hockey is well aligned with NDA’s commitment to rigorous academics and our mission to prepare the whole person for life.”

Through the partnership, student athletes will benefit from a well-rounded educational experience and be able to integrate their academic pursuits with high level hockey training.  NDA’s rigorous academic curriculum will be complemented by the Boston Hockey Academy’s professional coaching and proven player development model.  In addition, NDA’s unique block schedule for high school students enables any student to fully participate and compete with external teams.

“The partnership between Boston Hockey Academy and the Academy of Notre Dame brings together two institutions renowned for their commitment to fostering student success.  We believe NDA is the right partner for our program and aligns with our growth mindset and long-term success for our program,” Nate Bostic, BHA President and 16U Head Coach.

Dr. Pacifico noted that the current roster of players is spread across grade levels in the High School and that the influx of students may also provide additional opportunities to increase courses and additional sports. The Academy will be hiring additional personnel to ensure that NDA upholds its commitment to current families for rigorous academics, smaller class sizes and personalized attention.

Over the coming months, Notre Dame will be working withBHA leadership, players and their families to learn more about NDA’s mission and Hallmarks, academic expectations and student life.
